About us

BIM'S ORIGINS

Morning routines in the families of Honduras, begin gathering around in the garden enjoying a nice fresh morning and a nice flavorful cup of coffee. Through these routines families discuss their ideas, their dreams, their plans for the day, and their goals. Coffee chats became a big part of the Honduran Coffee Culture.

BIM Bean Motion was born from the desire to bring this nostalgic sense of familiarity of Honduran coffee to the world. At the same time; With quality, sustainability, and education, BIM strives to contribute to the Honduran economy through coffee: the country’s most important commodity. What began as a small idea quickly gained momentum through innovation and a clear purpose.

Motivation

In Honduras, coffee is the legacy of 150,000 families whose hands nurture the beans that fuel 30% of our nation’s exports.

From enjoying a hot coffee in the morning, then with friends and coworkers in the afternoon to talk about the conclusion of the day. Coffee and interaction always form part of a good day. We want to spread this reflective nature of coffee through coffee of the highest qualities just for the best discussioins. A legacy that has generations.

First steps

BIM first entered the world of coffee through Edwin, when while studying in Univerrsity he began trading machinery and materials from Asia to Honduras. He introduced tools for coffee processing, coffee analysis tools for coffee labs and other equipment to help farmers raise the quality of their coffee. Through these efforts,Edwin was able to develop strong relationships with producers, understanding their goals, challenges and potential.

With the connections established, Edwin decided to “connect the dots” through BIM: bringing together a group of small farmers to join forces with his family's farm and begin the project that will envolve a whole new level of cooperations. This collaboration resulted in the company’s first container of coffee, shipped to Taiwan, where BIM launched its own brand in 2023. Keeping a big emphasis in adopting sustainable practices, reducing waste, and enhancing quality using the most recent technologies.

Now

BIM Bean Motion oversees the whole coffee cycle; From the initial plantation process, technical assistance for proper plant growth, careful and strict hand harvest, innovative processing methods, efficient exportation, careful storage, delicate precise roasting, brand designing and finally, more than selling coffee, it creates experiences.

Through tastings, events, and educational activities, the company teaches consumers about the entire coffee journey: from farm to cup. The goal is to help people appreciate what they drink, distinguish quality coffee, and understand the value and the work behind it.

Today, BIM continues to evolve, staying true to its philosophy of “being in motion,” while building bridges between Honduras and Asia. The company places a strong focus on integrating new technology to transform the coffee industry in Honduras.

What began as one person’s vision has now become a team effort: Edwin has been joined by his siblings Marlon and Eliza, who also came to Taiwan to grow BIM together, and a close group of friends who share the same mission. This collaborative spirit is the driving force behind BIM Bean Motion as it looks toward a future of sustainable growth, innovation, and impact.

The BIM Team

Dedicated professionals with a shared passion for coffee.

Edwin Diaz

CEO

"Hello, I’m an economist and entrepreneur with a deep passion for connecting Latin America and Asia through innovative trade. Over the years, I’ve built experience in the agro-industrial sector, exporting different goods to Honduras and now importing premium Honduran coffee.  My work blends business development, international trade, and brand creation — always with a focus on sustainability, cultural exchange, and creative business models. I believe in constant motion — evolving ideas into impactful ventures that connect people, products, and cultures.

People should be wide awake in order to enjoy the present moment. Coffee allows you to stop for a few minutes and organize your thoughts, it is needed to be present in order to enjoy the things we love."
